At Ramirent Modular Factory, we are always evolving to ensure our modular solutions contribute to a better future for both people and the environment. We combine decades of experience with innovative green technology to deliver high-quality, energy-efficient wooden modules that meet the highest Nordic and European standards.

Our commitment to sustainability is rooted in a circular value chain—from sourcing environmentally certified raw materials and utilizing solar energy in our production, to maintaining a modern, low-emission logistics fleet. By partnering with leading research institutions like the Tallinn University of Technology, we ensure our products remain at the forefront of technical excellence and ecological responsibility.

Below is a summary of the standards and practices that define our operations.

Material integrity

Renewable Wood: Our modules are constructed from renewable natural resources using CE-certified wood from reliable producers.

Safe Materials: We utilize steel that is free of Cr6 and PVC flooring featuring phthalate-free technology.

Waste Hierarchy: We prioritize sorting and recycling waste over disposal to minimize our environmental footprint.

Fully Recyclable: Our flooring solutions are designed to be fully recyclable at the end of their life cycle.

Energy  and resource efficiency

Solar Powered: We operate four 50kW solar parks to power our facilities with renewable energy.

High-Performance Insulation: We use Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certified insulation with very low thermal conductivity and windows with low U-values.

Efficient Heating: Our heating is sourced from an Efficient District Heating label-certified provider in accordance with EU directive 2012/27/EU.

Science-Backed Quality: Independent studies by Tallinn University of Technology confirm our modules meet high Nordic energy efficiency and air leakage standards.

Our facility utilizes electric and gas forklifts, including KoneCranes models compliant with EU Stage 5 standards.

Global Certifications: Our production and management systems are certified according to ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety).

Certified according to European Technical Assessment (ETA) for selected products

Safe & Fair Workplace: Recognized as a “Great Place to Work,” we maintain 5S Lean manufacturing methods and modern social responsibility standards.

Strict Governance: We adhere to 10 core principles, including fair competition, zero tolerance for corruption, and the protection of human rights.

Supplier Accountability: We conduct annual audits to ensure our suppliers fulfill Ramirent Corporate Social Responsibility requirements.

Our modules satisfy all local and national legal requirements including technical, environmental, and work safety, etc

  • Certified according to European Technical Assessment (ETA) for selected products
  • Energy efficient wooden modules which are compliant with Nordic standards: independent study conducted by Tallinn University of Technology
  • The air leakage rate is better than the minimum requirements for permanent individual buildings: independent study conducted by Tallinn University of Technology
  • Low noise levels (high noise insulation index): independent study conducted by Töökeskkonna Uuringud OÜ
  • Products have been designed in accordance with the EN 1990 Eurocode, EN 1991 Eurocode 1, EN 1993 Eurocode 3 and EN 1995 Eurocode 5

Guarantee ethical and responsible relations

Business ethics is of critical importance to our Ramirent Group and revolves around three strong values shared by all our people.

Honesty, ethics and transparency in our business dealings, with the healthy management of our contracts, a code of ethics and ethics training common to all the Group and provided to all our employees.

Relationships of trust with our clients and suppliers to fully control our supply chain, without however dispensing with controls under legal provisions and connected with the duty of care.

Integrity, notably in the management of commercial and personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Reusable modular solutions
The same cabins are used across multiple projects, reducing material use, waste and the need for permanent construction.

Natural and renewable materials
Wooden modules use renewable resources, store carbon and have a lower embodied footprint.

Energy efficiency in cold climates
Insulated structures, efficient HVAC and LED lighting reduce energy consumption in Nordic conditions.

Long lifecycle and circular use
Maintenance, refurbishment and recycling extend service life and reduce overall impact.
